I moved out to Southern Wisconsin a few years ago, and for the life of me I cannot find a suitable pavement only bike trails, everything here is a gravel trails on old railroad paths.
AllTrails filters dont seem to work as all the trails I tried so far are at least half gravel.
I have a nice Trek Madone on slicks that I cannot take anywhere fun. And no, I will not share the road with car traffic.
I've been using my single speed gravel bike in the meantime.
I am willing to drive 45 minutes out, looking for a 10-20 mile loops or one ways.

Look up the drunk driving culture in wisconsin and then ask yourself if you want to be riding a bike on the same roads as cars in a place like that. I don't even like being on roads there in a heavily armored metal box, it's a russia-tier shit show. There's like 1 bar for every 3 people in wisconsin and the parking lots (yes bars have parking lots in wisconsin and the popular ones have sign-in logs where you put your license to prove you're parked there for getting shitfaced or you get towed) are always packed.

Wisconsin bike fed has a great trail guide.

https://wisconsinbikefed.org/routes/

I'm in MKE, but there's great biking in a lot of places. The
>sharing the road with car traffic.
may limit you in some aspects not knowing the fine line that is for you. You can do a heck of a lot sticking to country roads.
Milwaukee has the Oak Leaf going everywhere, - the 400 and Elroy Sparta are great (though packed gravel IIRC)

Someone recommended the Hammersly trail by Madison recently, which links to Devils Lake. If you haven't been there, that's top of the list.

madison is 2 hours from me.
i looked at elroy before, but thats even further away. how much of it is actually paved roads? 400 is all gravel. i walked on bits of it before
heart to vilas is way up north.
the rest of paved road are all shared roads. why doesnt wisconsin pave their walking paths?
illinois is almost mostly paved paths within all their parks. they got a small shoulder gravel trail for runners
There is an 8 mile loop in Busse Park down in Schaumberg that I used to go to. but its only 8 miles and gets very boring after the 6th loop.

The bugline trail is the closest one to me that's paved. i would prefer something longer, or a loop.
anything good in illinois?

I did more looking.
So far I got
Capital City State Trail in Madison, a bit far away but seems worth the trip.
Bugline Trail
Glacial Drumlin trail, only partially paved, not sure the ratio
Old Plank Road Trail, a bit far, but all paved. its next to a highway the entire time, doesnt seem interesting.

All these are an hour away and the one thing I hate is after a 100mile ride coming back all tired, and sweaty and needing to drive back home an hour +

So you're in souuuuthern wisconsin. Without knowing specificly what city you're in - i can only guess. Glacial drumlin is something like 13 miles paved. You could start in milwaukee or where the pavement stops and do a there-back on it and go for quite some time. Drumlin connects via Waukesha to the New Berlin Trail/Hank Aaron which goes straight to milwaukee if you wanted a halfway point to grab a beer or something. Bugline is cool. Oak leaf trail along southern milwaukee is really nice if you're not looking to rip.

My best bet would be looking at strava stuff for loops. Otherwise, maybe poke your LBS or one in a "destination" town (Lake Geneva, Beloit). There's bike clubs that go around there that could be a good resource.

The Oak Leaf has Hubbard Park and Estabrook along it. Both those places have beer gardens. It's a good thing.
