how do i know how much travel to have in a bike?
i have 120mm front 90mm rear i dunno if that is good
>>2045512 Yes we do because the 90s steel mtb homos have to shit up every thread about how their cantis and 26x2.1 tires are superior to everything. >>2045549 Depends. A 120/90 is a classic XC setup, so its not meant to jump down 8 foot drops. If you want to get rad on black dimond trails get something like 160/160.

I busted the front sprocket bash guard off my dh bike today hitting a big rock. The bracket itself where you bolt on the bash guard snapped off at the frame. Do I find a welder than can work on aluminum? Or JB weld?

>>2045563 you can't repair aluminum frames welding puts too much heat into the frame and makes it brittle in production, aluminum frames are welded up then put in giant ovens and baked then slowly cooled to anneal the aluminum in a precise controlled process

>>2045567 Fred: You almost had me? You never had me - you never had your car... Granny shiftin' not double clutchin' like you should. You're lucky that hundred shot of NOS didn't blow the welds on the intake! Now you and the mad scientist gotta rip apart the block, and replace the piston rings you fried. Meanwhile I didnt break a sweat sustaining 3000 Watts for quarter of a mile!
>>2045636 one time 3 months ago i rode over a heroin needle on the sidewalk and got a puncture so i went to the bike shop and got the most expensive downhill tires they have Hoping this helps with the potholes and stuff Haven’t ridden the bike yet to test it
