The agent drew his own pistol and fired off several shots, hitting Mora Nunez three times, sources said.

The dramatic encounter was also captured on video released by DHS.

Cops helped save CBP officer’s life because they were nearby — responding to a mugging in the area, NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny said Sunday.

The same suspects are believed to have stolen a woman’s cellphone in the vicinity just five minutes before the shootout, Kenny said.

The biggest reason that illegals can out compete Americans is precisely because they can be exploited with little risk. They work longer hours without overtime in unsafe conditions for less pay and it goes unreported because both the employers and employees risk to lose if it is. Most of their negative side effects come directly from or are tangentially related to their undocumented status. Given documents, they can't be exploited and look like a much riskier and troublesome hire compared to a low skill American. And in instances when they're not it's because they're objectively better at X role.

I understand most of the arguments against lessened requirements for immigration and i do concede that in the short term an influx of new arrivals will negatively impact wages. The issue is that the problem will keep existing irrelevant of policing against it because the problem is a social issue not an LE issue. I often compare the immigrant situation to the Drug War in our inability to actually grasp the issue. Often anons like:
