He doesn't actually like doing the stuff he does, he craves the attention it gets him, even if it is nearly universal derision. The cars are collateral damage to them. Notice that you'll never see a stancefag with any sort of talent, they always either pay someone else to do the work, or do extremely shitty work themselves. Even when they gain experience and money, they can't help but fuck it up because they don't take anything seriously. A recent example of this is stanceworks mike welding an intercooler for his time attack project up out of stupidly thin aluminum and being surprised when ripped open, then hanging a turbo way the fuck off of the engine with a thin wall adapter pipe which broke off at a track day because no shit retard. The stancefag is mediocre in every single way, and can't stand that, so he must stand out, even if it's by being a tryhard cringe faggot.
