My wife's 2017 Focus started to drone from the dash like a large airplane propeller when she turns the AC up high. It's not the typical buzzing you hear when something touches a fan, it's a way deeper booming. Really almost like a propeller.

Any idea what that could be?

The air conditioning compressor is compressing the air to condition it
