I'm a broke boy and don't want to buy a new car. Been thinking of getting a moped instead as a cheaper alternative. However, I live in a midwestern shithole with arctic weather for 4 months of the year. We get 5 degrees Fahrenheit temperatures, mountains of snow, black ice, etc. Will that be a problem?

You need a windshield. You can't take your scoot in black ice and snow. The smol wheels will kill you. Your best bet would something like a dirt bike. Try to get an old used dirt bike, but you'll need practice and it might not always be possible to take your bike out.

Actually, get both if possible. A shitbox from 2000 for bad weather, bike for good weather. Bike will save you gas money most of the year. I doubt you are man enough to ride in the snow or black ice.

Hopefully you'll find a $150k Mercedes with a chauffeur

You will need a car for the winter, especially that kind of winter.
Scooters are fun and cheap to run so you can consider them but it's spending money to save money so dunno if you want to given your self admitted poorfag status.

A scooter is fine, but consider the amount of black people in your area. Your scooter might suddenly disappear.
