I just want an FD that’s:
>LHD
>Manual
>relatively clean/unmolested
>black/silver/white (or cym but I’m not holding my breath on that one)
>black interior
>no sunroof ideally
>MAX 50k
But everything is either clapped, riced, rhd, $65k+, or all of the above.

Get a Maxton Rollerskate.
>LHD
>Manual
>Most are clean
>Rare as hen's teeth, but can be had for under $50k
>Black, Silver, Red or Green colors
>Mazda rotary engine from an RX-7
>No sunroof (well, no roff, really)
>Design cues from Austin Healey Sprite.

Learn to wrench, (which you will need to do for rotary ownership), and/or accept rhd, it really isn't that hard to learn

Alright, it was a crackpot idea, but at this point, you are going to have they are about the same in terms of obtainability, since the FDs have been drift-missiled to death.

Are you the same guy who asked this question 2 weeks ago (but the budget was under $20k) and we told him to increase his budget?
And now youre here?

Sounds like some folks either need bigger budgets, more time to search for the "perfect" car or re-examine your "requirements" in a used 30+ yr old car.

For that price just get an RX3 and really stand out.
Or were you going for performance with a 30 year old, 3rd place JDM halo car?

I’ve been working on cars and motorcycles a long time. The problem isn’t that these FDs are fixer uppers (all of them are at this point), it’s that they are clapped and riced. Big single turbo with a retard-tier port and a brap tune, ac deleted, interior trashed, bad compression, etc. You just know that the previous owner treated the car like shit. And of course they always throw away/sell the original parts cause why would you want to keep those?

I guess I’ll just have to wait for the right example to pop up on Bring A Trailer. Unfortunately 2 just sold and I missed em. Dealerships are overpriced and private sellers are clapped and overpriced.

>>28453512
No, what? USDM Rx-7’s haven’t ever been under $20k, retard.

Sorry, zillennials are now coming of age and into money, so all the "90s JDM Hero" cars will now be $75-100k+ for the rest of time regardless of mileage or condition since they're all doing the same bullshit that boomers did with their '50s and '60s rods and muscle cars.

Manual turbo LHD poopra?
Yeah that’s about right.

One with 240k miles just sold on BAT yesterday for $56k. If you wanted something stock and low mileage it would be in the $120-140k range.

Honestly the LHD tax isn't worth it. You could buy an ultra clean 2002 JDM Bathurst R, have it stored for 2 years, buy a miata in the meantime, and still pay less than you would have for a base model LHD rx-7.

Are you stupid or something? Even on BAT clean ones with under 70k miles are frequently sell in the 30s-40s.

>ultra clean
Good luck with that. Many of the "ultra clean" japanese imports you see look awesome in pictures but have a bunch of rust hidden underneath, and they often arrive with new damage after being shipped across the ocean. If you get in with the jay dee em import crowd you'll quickly see it happen to people. Never buy a car you can't go see yourself unless you have someone you can trust to look at it for you, especially imports.
>dude I got an awesome deal look at this car it's so clean
>shows up with a bunch of hidden rust and some new dents and scratches from handling during the import process

>>28453771
I remember that one. It was a modified, high mileage car that needed quite a bit of paint work (look at the picture of the hatch, the peeling/chipping around the wheel wells, and the paint match job of the 99+ bumper). At the time FDs were just becoming collector cars and CYM wasn't so memed. That was a reasonable price. Keep in mind that we've had real inflation of around 30% since 2019 so that 17k would be mid 20s today, add to that the fact that FDs have increased in value on top of inflation. If that same listing were posted today, the few small, low resolution photos would really hurt the results because even though CYM cars are rare and people want them now, everyone knows a quality repaint is $10k+.

The problem is that all the good deals get snapped up within 1-2 days. That just leaves the "I KNOW WHAT I GOT" retards.

You need to check faceberg marketplace every day.
