when i'm lost, and trying to quickly figure out where i am and can't pull over anywhere to park, i may sometimes turn without signaling, but i'm going really slow at that point anyway.

I use turn signals religously. I flip the turn signal on a road that happens to make a 90 degree turn with no intersection.
i learned this when i first started driving.
i really hate how others cant be bothered with using turn signals correclty
like using your turn signal BEFORE you start braking.
or using it BEFORE entering the turn lane
just cause you are in a turn only lane doesnt excuse you from not using your signals.

Now, in dense metro areas like Chicago, Atlanta, LA, if you use your turn signal early, other motorists will take the effort to prevent you from getting in front of them, and in these situations, I use my turn signals last minute cause otherwise i get blocked off.

Not using your turn signals needs to be ground for a traffic stop.

this happened to me. the motherfucker to my left didn't want me to get in front of him so badly in a traffic jam that he slammed on the gas and was skidding just to quickly close the gap so i couldn't get in.

at the same time, i sometimes don't notice other's signals when i'm spacing out and just looking straight ahead of me, so i don't i end up not realizing i'm blocking someone by accident. a lorry was trying to get over, and i didn't realize it until i was coming up to his trailer, i quickly slowed down to let him in once i saw the light.

i've done this to get people out of my blind spot lol (yes i have my mirrors adjusted properly i just call it a blind spot because everyone knows what it is) and it works great: they either slow down to let me in, or instantly speed up to block me off but at least they're in a better position relative to me

Because I often flip on my turn signal to go into another lane. and then the lane ends or is an exit lane or some shit so i have to come back. So i look retarded in the whole process
