You've gotta be out of your fucking mind to spend 100k on a Jeep or any Crappler for that matter.
Literally no one will miss them.
Time to shut the lights off and lock the doors.

Pretty cheap for something 4x4 with a solid front axle. What else is like that on the market? Not even the Bronco is solid axle.

It's actually not even political wind, it was the previous CEO and his cronies that fully decided to take stellantis into the luxury/EV space. By all insider accounts they were wanting to stay as the retard V8 brand indefinitely, but Carlos tevares didn't understand the American market

Sure, but the most recent radical shift was entirely based on the last CEO. It wasnt the same as when the made k-cars after begging the government for a bailout

That was just a tierod.
Here's an actual broken fucking axle on a 392 Rubicon. And its more common than the bronco issue.
Jeeps are actually trash.

Does Stellantis not use DANA 60 axles in their Jeeps any longer? I thought those were one of the best you could get

adjusted for inflation a CJ7 sold new for 24k. Wranglers are overpriced for what they are, their underlying driveline hasn't changed since the JK introduction in 2007.

the K cars were a sales success, though. it took Chrysler from a distant third to overtaking Ford for much of the 80s and into the early 90s. They overstayed their welcome, but that doesn't change how revolutionary and good they were from 1983-1988.

They currently use Dana 44s (1/2 ton vehicle class) Mojave and the 392 use a gen 3 full floater Dana 44. In the past jeep products have used smaller axles.
Dana 60 is a 3/4 ton class and has never been factory installed on a Jeep, although Jeep sells Dana 60 upgrade kits.
There is zero reason for a Dana 44 to fail.
Ford, GM and Dodge have been using Dana 44s for half a century.
This is 100% a fault with the Jeep housings- Dana only supplies the gearsets.

Everything went tits up since 2007.
Never should have done a clean slate on the Wrangler. Pentastar was dog shit then as it is now.

Maybe I was thinking of the Qudrasteer GM trucks. I know their rear axles were Dana's. Thanks for the insight regardless
