What is the maximum speed you could get a car like this to go if you could modify it any way you want?

That was Dodge Omni here back in the day, Competition was Chevy Chevette, Toyota Tercel and Ford Escort. Been in all these at some point, 0-60 -11 to 14 sec. Top speed 84 mph.

Top speed is a function of CDa times peak hp, with some fudging up or down due to gearing(you want the car to top out right as you hit peak hp in top gear). Aerodynamics is a big part of it. Look to standing mile and I hate to say it, but hypermiling builds. Undertray, splitter, moon discs, ect. The next two questions you need to be honest with yourself about are what is your budget, and what is your goal that you'll be happy with reaching?

Is this a troll-post or an I'm-a-retard post?

Let's say the car must look the same visually (the engine cannot stick out of the hood, you can't have a rocke engine on the roof or anything else like that). And you'd have infinite budget to modify the car.

I don't know that Opel specifically, but it looks like a Holden Gemini. They used to fit the 5.0 V8 in them pretty easily back in the day, so I expect an LS3 would fit.

Look up sleeper cars, you can make shitboxes very fast while still looking pretty unassuming.
