Because it's four seconds slower than a cybertruck and two seconds slower than a TRX. Now that the Charger is cancelled this is certainly the most pointless vehicle on the market.

It's a meme vehicle, a fashion accessory akin to the Cybertrugg. Nobody else in their right mind is paying even $50k for a 5-ton, 5-seater EV that literally can cost up to $100 to "fill up".

Anon, its simple economics. Nobody wants or even asked for the largest and heaviest production vehicle. Nobody wants EVs. Its a double whammy against the Hummer EV, and every other huge EV. Once everyone found out they can't tow, have horrid range, and are preposterously expensive to drive long term, why would anyone want it?

Now if you're really wealthy and your housewife just wants an irrational vehicle they make sense, but comparatively theres so few buyers and so many vehicles that could fit that definition.

Low demand, supply is constant means prices must fall rapidly.

EV market is pretty much saturated so they depreciate like crazy. Anyone who wants an EV and can afford one has one. Everyone else is ambivalent or doesn't care.

I remember when these first hit the market they were marking them up to $200,000.
Now I see them for sale for around $90K locally.

My local GMC Chebby Dealer has a fuck ton of these taking up space. A couple months ago they had them all out front. Then one day I stopped seeing so many. I couldn't believe they actually sold, but I didn't see them. Couple weeks later I had to make a U-turn in their parking lot and I saw they just had them all collecting dust in the back of the lot. 25 or so of them just sitting out of view. Pitiful.

>So cheap
EVs typically depreciate hard. A 9,800lb EV that eats through $1,500 sets of tires.

because it's a lemon, all of the EV's that stickered for 100k+ and had any sort of issue were bought back and are now near impossible(or just very expensive) to insure
also, you've cherrypicked the single cheapest listed hummer ev in the country
also, they stickered for ~100k but then there was/is a ton of cash off for incentives and tax rebates depending on where you live
one of these that hasn't been lemoned, has under 50k miles, and hasn't been crashed will still be ~70k+

still trotting out that old fucking screenshot of a dealer who told someone to fuck off three years ago?
https://www.besthybridbatteries.com/categories/hybrid-batteries-by-make/chevrolet/chevy-volt

also, that was a hybrid, not an EV
do you see the same thing happening with priuses?
