Lexus never tried since because they lost a TON of money off the LFA program.

Problem is the car was ready to enter production in like 2006-2007 but they kept stalling to make micro improvements to it, so when Nissan beat them to the market with the GTR, giving basically the same performance AND the "Japanese supercar" niche, for 1/4th the price, this car lost 75% of its potential buyers.
