Can we take a moment to talk about how much better big cars are than small euromobiles?

>more weight to smooth out the ride
>more crumplezone in a crash
>makes Porschefags seethe
>Can run engines with displacement that isnโ€™t measured in faggots per metric whatever
>Huge horsepower numbers to make normies shit their pants
>Can add 400lbs of stereo, dynamat, and other QOL luxuries and itโ€™s a rounding error on the P/W ratio

Never had anything against them, but your post does remind me that they're just low tech. The design philosophy of making a car heavy "just because" is simply wasteful. Old cars were heavy and inefficient because that was all the industry could do, and fuel was cheap enough.
In a way though we're going back to heavy, powerful cars with EVs, which all tend to be big sedans and SUVs.

First off, you're a faggot. And second, it isn't just because. It has lots of interior room, big back seats and a big trunk. It's big for a reason.

Fagons need to be thrown in the crusher and forgotten about. With modern tech big SUVs and Crossovers handle better than sports cars from 15-20 years ago. A Cayenne Turbo GT absolutely fucking mogs every C6 Corvette ever made, Murcis, whatever relabeled Fiat trash Ferrari was pumping out, etc. Boomers just don't want to admit that a modern X6M, Cayenne GTS, RSQ8, etc offers everyday practicality with better performance than virtually any sports car of past eras. You really can have it all these days. The only reason to have 2-3 cars is if you just like them for whatever reason, or if you need a Truck for work. Nothing wrong with that, but you have to be actually retarded to purchase some old slow daily and a clapped out 911 instead of just getting a good modern SUV / Crossover with 600+ hp.

The only exception to this is if you mod the fuck out of something. A C6 with that 427 cammed and blown to 800+ at the wheels is worth it, but at that point you're already playing with 6 figures so you can just buy whatever the fuck you want and this discussion is a non-issue.

>big SUVs
Modern ones are borderline disgusting. Shitty visibility, nose too big. I like 1990s-2000s truck-based SUVs, even own one. They are the vehicles that killed wagons, by the way.
>Crossovers
>everyday practicality
Most of them are hatchbacks (sloped rear window prevents you from using half the trunk above the belt line) including the ones you named, and many others are trannyverse and primarily FWD. The visibility is even worse than in SUVs, but they are cars and that is considered normal. Own one too, like driving it even less than the truck.
>dayling modern 600 hp awd
It's boring. I don't live in Germany, and even there the only roads without the speed limit are rather straight, wide and well-organized. In all other places you can go in these cars there are limits you have to consider at least partially, and there's traffic as well. I'm seriously considering buying a 30+ y.o. classic to spice up my driving.

>Visibility
>Modern

Most modern cars have 360 cameras, rearview cameras, etc. Visibility doesn't matter. A modern F-350 is easier to park than a 20 year old Miata because there are zero blindspots with the camera system. Not to mention being high-up in traffic gives you a much broader view of what's happening in front of you, which is what actually matters.

Exactly what I'm talking about. The visibility doesn't matter to modern car buyers and they think the lack of it can be compensated with cameras and driver's aids like lane assist, auto parking, auto braking etc.
> A modern F-350 is easier to park than a 20 year old Miata because there are zero blindspots with the camera system.
A 20 year old F350 probably (I'm a GM guy) was easy to park too because of big windows, mirrors, and lower hood height. Adding cameras to a car that lacks them is easy, cutting bigger windows is not.
>much broader view of what's happening in front of you

lol true.
and I'm a multi-porsche owner but there's no defending the ugliness of the panamera. easily the ugliest car porsche has ever made.

imo stellantis really fuct up by killing the charger/challenger platforms. i had 'em as rentals MANY times and they're great at what they are (big, v-8 powered land cruisers). Dont get it twisted, they're cheap and functional on the inside and dont hold a candle to the panamera interior but they look good, are priced right and have shitloads of parts availability.
ofc everyone will assume youre black but with so many panameras on the secondary market that's a risk there too. at least charger/chally look good.

>>more weight to smooth out the ride
False.
Tires use to be 55-75, now they are 45 to as low as 35 and feel like shit if the car doesn't have air or magnetic suspension.
>>Huge horsepower numbers to make normies shit their pants
More weight for that to not be an issue. Those Chargers are already more than 4100lbs. The CTS and G8, were the same group and they couldn't turn or move without traction control, and were in fact slow on any technical course.
>>Can add 400lbs of stereo, dynamat, and other QOL luxuries and itโ€™s a rounding error on the P/W ratio
Now it weighs the same as a compact SUV.

Hell yeah. The hemi V8 sounds incredible. I'd imagine you'd get a lot of people whining at you owning one in eurolandia.

911s have always had rear seats just like the Beetle and 356 that came before. The Cayman doesn't because it's a traditional mid-engine setup instead of a rear-engine like the 911 and the engine is where the back seats would be
