R8 the AI slop car I painstakingly prompted into existence. I'm particularly proud of how I wrestled it into actually making the vehicle lower and wider, and the way the turret sits inwards from the rear arch and into a boot lip flick. It's supposed to be rear-mid engine, rwd.
Started off with the prompt "Detomasto Pantera crossed with a Testarossa"

You should try Automation if you haven't already, seems like you'd have fun with it.

I'll check it out. I didn't think the player has much control over design other than selecting prefab parts?

Depends on how creative you are and how much patience you have. There are some genuinely incredible looking cars that people have made, but I couldn't imagine how long they spent adjusting every little fixture.

My own creations are quite simple in comparison, pic rel, but I still greatly enjoy it.

Will take some genuine autism to wrap your head around the exterior designer and that new menu structure
But there are a couple of 80/90s sportscar bodies and a ton of mods for extra fixtures that you could definitely recreate the car from OP
Plus you can design the chassis and drivetrain, highly detailed but with realistic limitations and then export into Beamng
This is a super old pic of a very basic design, but this is easily achievable if you have an eye for proportions and how to arrange the bumpers, wheels and arches and trim pieces

Beaut, like a jensen interceptor x fairlady z.
I made this 70s luxo barge with AI too, looks a lot like my 1978 ZH Fairlane 351c which happens to be my favourite (attainable) car.

Most of your designs are babby's first car tier and you really don't seem to get any better at this

how is it to get parts for that fairlane? can you get stuff off rockauto? My obsession with rockauto has gotten to the point where when i look at what car i'm interested in, the first thing i do is check parts availability in rockauto lol

I don't use rockauto, most of its parts are common to the XC Falcon and Fairmont. Parts are easy to get, other than body stuff. Completely unable to get tail lights for it.

noted. is it the entire tail light assembly, or just the plastic lens? wondering if you can get one of those small plastic injection moulding shops to make new lenses for you.

I should probably try. The tail lights look like this, I haven't pulled them out to check if the individual lights have separate lenses or if it's all one piece. But mine are sun faded with little cracks.

Sweet, got any pics? Aussie stuff is always like a parallel universe to me. I'd love to have a Valiant Charger, but fuck are they expensive.

Looks like you tried to make an 80's Ferrari, but couldn't quite make it.
