For what a decent "certified" installer charges for a wrap, and for what a "certified" body shop charges for a factory-level repaint (some places seriously are asking close to $10k nowadays), look for the type of place that's a hole in the wall run by some old boomer. They're still out there, and those places will charge wrap-like pricing ($2-3kish) for a decent quality repaint of an average sized car.
If it's a car you daily anyway, you don't really want a wrap unless you're the kind of person that's going to rip it off and change colors in a year or two, since it just takes a single rock chip to fuck everything up. Color can fade as well, though material quality varies obviously.
On a related note, picrel is actually a liquid wrap with a full gloss finish. They've come a long way since the early plastidip days.
