This actually makes a lot of sense if you are trying to keep the wheel stable on a bumpy road.

How bumpy is the road you're trying to do high speed or sharp turns on that requires both hands to be on the wheel?

>be freiburger
>spin out first time you test a v10
>old fag hotrod guy approach you
>you didnt hold the wheel at top did you?
>because if you did it turns every shift into a motion that infects the car
>learn to shift without motion or just drive auto aka hold at the bottom.

What the fuck is all this? Just keep one hand on the wheel at all times if the terrain is questionable. Even then, if you're not about to spin out then 9-3 is all you'll ever need

I do push-pull because I can go lock-to-lock very easily and with a fluid motion. I think I learned it from a UK pursuit training video.
