Have any of you driven the Dalton Highway? Any in a sedan? Is it worth it to say you've been beyond the arctic circle?

>Any in a sedan?
Sedans would have hung up on road obstacles long before getting to the Dalton Highway. A lot of modern sedans have hard plastic airfoils in front that are so low on the road that the car starts to scrape snow off the road and pile it up in front of the sedans as it moves forward. In my neighborhood, if the snow is about 4 inches in height, I cannot get out of the neighborhood. I can drive over the snow at first, but as more snow catches in front of the car, it gets pushed up higher and higher. Pretty soon, my sedan is pushing along a hill of show over one foot tall. Eventually, this gets taller and taller and my car comes to a stop. Because I don't want to be bullheaded and shove power into the studded tires to push the car along. All that snow pushes on the front end, and I don't want any plastic parts to break.

Snow isn't an issue on the Dalton unless you're going in peak winter or right after a storm. They actively plow the Dalton so the semis can run it and if it's bad enough that the semis won't run it then neither should you. A bigger issue is how muddy the road can get. Especially after winter parts of the road is basically only passable with big semis or other heavy 4wd.
