And I'm paying $40 for my hybrid. That difference becomes almost $1000 a year on top of increased value decrepiation of new EVs.

This is true, Tesla EVs hold their value exceptionally well. Other EVs tend to drop faster but that's more due to them being offered for cheaper leasing than Tesla.

Lower winter range
Higher insurance cost
Less maintenance, but more expensive
Cheap interior/body build quality/materials
Bought new, depreciation wouldn't be as bad, but as pre owned, the battery is a ticking time bomb

>Lower winter range
Winter isn't a thing where I live
>Higher insurance cost
True. I don't like paying the insurance jew any more money than I have too
>Less maintenance, but more expensive
From what I hear this is also true.
>Cheap interior/body build quality/materials
I was able to test drive their performance which basically as the same interior besides the more aggressive seats and carbon fiber trim. To me, it feels nice, at least better than on older models from what I've heard.
>Bought new, depreciation wouldn't be as bad, but as pre owned, the battery is a ticking time bomb
Its a 2 year lease so I don't really care about depreciation unless I plan on keeping it

While I generally dislike leasing, in this case fits better. Enjoy!

falling for the tesla meme would imply there's even a meme of owning a tesla for any reason.
Aside from brown people thinking they're luxury cars, maybe that's the category you're in.

You'll find yourself with lots of factory defects, the drive train getting rusted and busted, almost no paint over the metal and Tesla basically bricking your car or erasing the logs if you commit wrongthink or a technician does something wrong and he erases his trail.

So far every kia and Hyundai have been shipped with defects in some piece, for example, their first generations had the issue of the engine becoming a bit displaced inside which made so it grinded inside and even burn itself, I was eyeing the kia ev3 I think and this year they're doing a mass replacement on some piece that's faulty by design.

Blazing fast 0-60 times, cheap cost of ownership until the battery shits itself, and possible an AC system that was poorly made and smells like gym socks.

I got a model 3 LR AWD last december. I love it. Quick, nimble, decent interior, good sound system, decent looking, pretty good warranty service, and cheap -- paid $40k total including taxes for a brand new car with 0% interest.

Very happy with it. Wish there was a good deal on a performance when I bought it.

Only complaint is there's not much in the way of options or customization and the paint is weaker than average.
