I can assure you the nose will be caved in on that hood (I ordered a hood and it came delivered just like that had to send it back)

If it were a car manufactured in this century, or a car that was at least somewhat desirable, then yes. The Civic del Sol is just a shitbox though, so buying any non-essential replacement part is more than I would have done no matter the price.

I see. Still a shitbox, so as long as it's paint matched you're probably fine

Why are you buying a replacement hood in the first place?

Why would anyone buy a metal replacement hood instead of a fiber hood?

Can you not find the part at a junkyard?

Eh...you do what you have to. About ten years ago I need a fender and headlights for my Camry. Couldn't afford the real parts and had to go Chinky. I had to elongate a few holes and bend the fender lower quarter to the proper angle, but it mostly fit.

Fiberglass is delicate, crack-prone trash which ages very badly.

I've repaired many vehicles using salvage front clips (you get all the hardware and if lucky, the correct paint color thus avoiding having to paint the thing.

I've also done many vehicles with aftermarket sheet metal. Worked fine.

Normal adjustments. Worth it of course if no good salvage parts exist.
