>>28463190 (OP)define "GT".
it used to mean "a car that is not shitty enough so that it can reliably drive at motorway speeds while also being comfy". you know, back when that was a pretty high bar to pass.
nowadays, pretty much every car passes that bar.
obviously, more expensive = more comfort, especially low nvh which is incredibly important for long term driving comfort. but lets not pretend that anything beyond that matters. car reviewers love to tell you about which of the plastics are hard or soft and whether the headliner is fabric or alcantara, but none of that makes a lick of difference IRL. you only touch the wheel and the stalks, and rest your elbows at the center armrest and door card. as long as those 4 things are nice enough, the rest is just sugar coating.
also obviously, faster = faster, but lets not pretend you need anything more than ~200hp for driving at legal speeds. recall the topgear (or was it grand tour?) episode where the trio did a race vs some female stig-substitute. the trio was driving "GT" cars, iirc clarkson had a dbs?, and the foid was driving some 90s shitbox? didn't matter ofc, since obv on a public road, a dbs is still limited by the same traffic, stop lights, and speed limits
so, yea, you need to be more clear
best car to take a long road trip in?
best car to look good while taking a road trip?
best car to enjoy the good driving roads on your trip?
does cargo capacity matter?
does it need to carry more than 1 person? more than 2?
what exactly are we looking for?
