nc and a couple other states have laws on the books that say your front bumper and rear bumper must be within a certain height difference of each other, to statutorily prevent people from running drag radials or tractor tires and other silly or unsafe wheel configurations, but nc's law was worded so badly that while you couldn't legally rake the car forward, you could rake it backwards, so people did this shit basically just to piss off/amuse their local cops, which is also why really only white people did it.
