>>28464536>>28464554I forgot to mention the 5-button keypad on the door. People who have owned Fords fucking love it. People who have never owned Fords think its really stupid.
As far as fair criticisms go:
Its a little lacking on overall power and fun. Nobody smiles at a 4cyl hybrid making 225 horsepower.
Ford somehow found a way to mildly fuck up the BCM so the radio sometimes makes a strange sound until I turn the car off. Annoyance since it isn't likely to leave me stranded.
I can remote start the truck via the Ford app, but the key fob simply will not do it. The Ford app BTW keeps track of where your truck is so if its stolen or you park it and walk several blocks, the app will help you walk back to it.
The radio isn't great, but if you just need some music its fine.
The AC in mine just turns itself on if its over 75 degrees. Thats mostly fine in the summer but if it knows its hot out and the cabin is 75 because I park in the garage, turn on the recirc.
There is no wireless carplay or andoid auto at least in my 2023: I can bluetooth music and navigation audio, but if I want the map on the screen I must plug it in. Theres 4 USB ports, and 2 power outlets, its fine.
For dumb criticisms:
Its not body on frame which doesn't matter because its lighter, more rust resistant and was never intended to tow or haul very heavy things. 4000lbs towing and 1500lbs in the bed is fine. I wish it could tow more but morons likely scared Ford away from making that happen
Its front wheel drive which doesn't fucking matter. AWD is probably great for snow, ice, or mud. I don't' drive on any of those surfaces so I don't care.
Its a really small truck, even parking next to F150s or F250s, its absolutely dwarfed by them, but I think that makes it easier to park and get through urban areas.
There are strange things Ford did like little cubbies or odd shaped plastic dividers that nobody has any idea what to do with like the hole next to the radio. More storage is okay I guess?
