>After pushing back the reveal of its first EV from this October to next spring, Ferrari is now delaying the launch of its second EV. Citing two anonymous sources, Reuters reported that the Italian automaker is pushing back the car's launch from 2026 until at least 2028.
>The issue, according to Reuters' sources, is that Ferrari's customer base has "zero" interest in high-performance electric vehicles. One source told the outlet that "real, sustainable demand is non-existent for an electric sports car."

More like Ferrari BTFO. The EV market has extremely tough competition right now. Ferrari is better off pandering to its dumb rich boomer audience. They wouldn't survive in the shark tank that is the EV market.

File that under "no shit"
>poors can't afford EVs
>middle class doesn't want EVs
>Rich might buy an EV on an impulse but not more than 1
>super wealthy don't want EVs
Its always striking whenever someone says they see EVs every day and is convinced they're replacing ICE cars at any significant pace.

How is Rimac selling anything if Ferrari can't offload that shit on their usual buyers?

Sharks can't survive either. The pool of EV companies is getting shallow, like kiddie pool shallow.

Not at all. The competition heats up by annual basis as car companies in the know make better and better EVs (Kia, Hyundai, Tesla, Renault, Skoda). Even Ford has a decent EV in e-Puma now. The classic status brands are failing with EVs because they can't transition well into an uncharted territory in which numerous other companies beat them to the punch.

Audi also makes shit EVs so this >>28467988
Doesn't surprise me either. Germans just seem unable to understand battery driven technology.

exclusive luxury car brands are the last ones that need to worry about electrifying. like yeah im sure these garage queen collector pieces that get driven maybe once a year and then burn down will have such an impact when they electrify. GM though? ah just give em a decade or three theyll catch up eventually

They're increasing in popularity on a yearly basis

https://www.acea.auto/pc-registrations/new-car-registrations-1-2-in-april-2025-year-to-date-battery-electric-15-3-market-share/

>In the first four months of 2025, new battery-electric car sales grew by 26.4%, to 558,262 units, capturing 15.3% of the total EU market share. Three of the four largest markets in the EU, accounting for 63% of all battery-electric car registrations, recorded robust gains: Germany (+42.8%), Belgium (+31.3%), and the Netherlands (+6.4%). This contrasted with France, which saw a decline of 4.4%, despite the recovery seen in April 2025.

>By the end of April 2025, petrol car registrations saw a significant decline of 20.6%, with all major markets showing decreases. France experienced the steepest drop, with registrations plummeting by 35.2%, followed by Germany (-26.6%), Italy (-14.4%), and Spain (-12.7%).

ICE is dying. And the used market for EVs is growing ever more lucrative as three year lease plans are now ending and there are good options out there for fairly cheap. The high popularity of Plug-ins also demonstrate that people want to gradually shift over to electric drive.

>ICE is dying.
not even 15% of new registered vehicles in a controlled market that is forcing manufacturers to stop selling normal cars in the next 5 years. AND that new registrations figure isn't growing, is actually declining.
kek and thats how you know it's a full on paid ev shill jeet.

honestly I don't have anything against evs for what they are, except that WEF has decided this is the way things must be and trying everything to RAM them down our throats.

Literally every first-world market is a "controlled" market. You think your ICE is somehow a product that is free from regulations or government subsidies? You're deluded. States have been forcing the auto industry in a desireable direction since the 20th century. It's only more noticeable now as EVs are so drastically different from ICEs. Chances are 30 years ago you'd whine that governments are trying to control the market by forcing catalytic converters.

>AND that new registrations figure isn't growing, is actually declining.

They're attempting to navigate an expansion into the Chinese market, where the nameplate currently doesn't mean as much. It's why they've been lowering their standards as to who gets to buy what car, why the F80 is getting several hundred extra examples compared to the last couple halo cars, and why their first EV is going to be a CUV

if by different you mean inferior then yup that's the entirety of the problem.
