Luxury brands are lifestyle brands. You can't take your kids to sports or go skiing in an 812 or an SF90, so that aspect of your lifestyle couldn't be fulfilled by Ferrari's current lineup. They want to make being a "ferrari person" an aspirational target for people who are getting their foot in the door of those elite spaces. If you get invited to Val Thorens and see someone getting their skis out the back of a Purosangue while you get them out the back of your Porsche Cayenne or whatever it puts the idea in your head that the Ferrari lifestyle can also take you to any of these exclusive places.
