Not bad, just wonky. That is what I mean and takes a bit more to have them in good running condition.

If you bought that at a dealership return it immediately. If you bought it private sale you're an idiot lmao. This is why you always get a PPI from your mechanic before buying a car.

Swap the engine with a working one and sell your current engine for parts. As long as it's the same engine the swap is basically plug 'n play.

OP is a baiting faggot.

Anyways, I was told by a mechanic those Korean built engines they shared in a bunch of platforms will not last.
Those are the engines they recommend doing 2,000 mi oil changes on

Because they have a 10 year / 100k mile warranty while most manufacturers do 3 years / 36k miles.

To keep metal out of the oil.
Apparently the machining on the bearing surfaces are super bad.
I haven't heard of people changing the oil every thousand miles in the hopes of the engine wouldn't spin a bearing.

They even offered dealer 100,000 mi engine replacements on those.
That's how bad it was/is.

Note that the 10 year/100k mile warranty only applies to the first owner, if it's sold before then the warranty drops to 5 years/60k miles

Weird that there aren't more 5 year old hyundai/kia/genesis cars out there. It's like the warranty is bullshit whether it's 5 or 10 year. But hey, the reminder of that 10 year warranty gets mentioned in these threads like it's some sort of selling point.
