Is this brand still any good now that it's effectively owned by an Indian conglomerate? I know they've recently outsourced some of their development to India. I've always loved them.

They're comfortable but no, they're not good. Reliability memes aren't just memes

>Is this brand still any good
no, they're shit. much better options abound:

>high luxury
cullinan, bentayga, gls maybach

>sporty
cayenne, urus, x5m/x7m

>very flash
urus, escalade, g-class

>actually offroad capable
lexus lx/gx, g-class

do note that the above categorization is very rough, and there is extreme overlap between the various niches. im just trying to give you a rough idea of what to consider to optimize each goal in the most efficient manner.

so, yea, no reason whatsoever to give money to jeets.
especially not for products that are at the absolute bottom of the reliability scale, doubly so given that there are way better alternatives for whatever you might be optimizing for.

but Jeremy Clarkson has one?

>cayenne
this for some reason looks most appealing to me. the turbos are just so good looking. but I'd probably get called a fag for getting a non 911 porsche.

>Jeremy Clarkson has one?
an older one. if you look at the last season of clarksons farm, the new one shows up for a couple shots and then he goes back to his old one
im guessing an instance of a take-home test drive, followed by an immediate "lol, no" decision.

>I'd probably get called a fag for getting a non 911 porsche
definitely

also oh, and i forgot to mention the purosangue, as a front-runner for the sporty suv class. i have no idea how it compares to the cayenne in driving dynamics, but if i had to guess its better. for 2+x the money tho, lol.

Who cares? Porsche needs people to buy Cayennes so they can keep making 911s.
When you've got the money, go and buy a 911. They like seeing their SUV buyers move into sports cars.

Fuck no.
Genuinely, unironically, a Cadillac Escalade is way better if you want a luxury SUV.

They are still dead last in every chart for reliability. Either lease it or have two cars.
