My dad rents out a car shop but doesn't do anything all day except drink beer, collect scrap metal or charge people for using the shop (not sure how he makes money desu). He had a competent partner who actually ran the place like a legitimate business but he got deported so I've been thinking about taking over. After leaving a dealership due to a lack of jobs I've been working next door at a friend's shop but he's been slow with giving out work and lacks motivation to finish the jobs he currently has so I'm not really making any money. Wondering how hard it'll be to turn the place into something economically viable or if I should just get another job and use the place for side hustles.

Highly doubt it he really just sits down all day doing nothing but drinking. But, yeah I probably should distance myself from the place. It was fun at first just hanging out with friends and I expected my buddy to teach me more unlike the dealership but he hasn't really done that just expected me to solve things on my own. Right now I just want to focus on making enough money so I can move out and get my own place. Thinking of oil field work or the military since I can't find any work for it.
