Why not? I want to wrench.
It's Friday. Isn't Friday the end of the week? Why do you hate me?

Shit, I didn't think of that. I mean, it can be, but I don't want to rob regular baker. If anon who bakes the threads bakes his own, let's all go there.
>Yeah, I know, I'm basically a master mechanic now
If it's a Lincoln, and you managed to accomplish it and get the entire half of the interior put back together, then yes, you are.
If it's a Toyota, you still deserve a feeling of satisfaction.

I bleed my brake lines yesterday. Gonna swap out a sensor later and gonna do a timing job which I've never before so I have someone helping me on that later.

Sweet, good job! Timing is easy, so if you have someone guiding you it'll go smoothly.
That isn't a Mitsubishi V6, is it? Or a Hyundai version of one?

Just a pic I found online. For me it's a Hyundai Elantra, been getting P0017 Code on the ODB2 and from I read online could need a timing job. I've replaced sensors and I keep up with the maintenance but still getting this code.

Keeping it stock and just freshening it back up?

I'll give some of you a laugh at a semi-wrenchlet (or infuriate you). I've done my own fluids for a few years now, never had an issue until today. I've always owned cars that have basic disposable filter housings though, so Toyota/Lexus having metal housings and filter carts is new to me.
So being a dumbass on my new IS250, I bought this cheapest chinkesium filter tool I could. First red flag should have been the 3/8 drive, but I didn't care and had a breaker so I figured it'd be fine.
Spoiler: It wasn't.
Dump the oil, drain plug was tight as fuck as if someone zipped it on with an impact. Infuriating, but whatever. Thankfully wasn't stripped or taking threads with it on the way out, so that was fine. Then I got to the filter. After about 30 minutes of performing feats of strength Hercules could only dream of with the help of copious amounts of PB, I eventually rounded the fucking socket. Cute, real fucking cute. Adapter is locked into place, can't pry it off. Even better!
30 more minutes of prying in the opposite direction just trying to get the adapter to pop off, and eventually it finally does with this as the result. That's what I get for buying chinkshit and using a tiny drive for a really stupid application.
Fuck niggers who use impacts for basic oil changes though I hope you get debris in your interference engine.

knocked new lugstuds into my axlels, I am now only lacking a set of tires and valve stems to swap this axlel into the car but I don't know what tires to get, I was told 245/45 18s were ideal but I don't know, I know I've had 26" tall tires on the car before and that's about where I'd like to keep it

Same shit happened to me with that adapter. Ive found that hitting it on the sides with a hammer helped quite a bit with the removal.

Didn't the last one get really weird with anons posting fat chicks and softcore porn for some reason?

I haven't had any content to post because it's too fucking hot outside to be wrenching. My truck has had a weird stumble and what feels like a loss of power after I replaced the injector body, but there's no codes. So I have no idea what it could be and it's too hot to be out there trying to diagnose. I feel bad letting it just sit for months but I don't want to pay a mechanic to do it.

Working on some old POS 2003 Isuzu Rodeo with poor throttle response for an old man. Take out the spark plugs to see them drowning in oil so I recommend new spark plugs, tube seals, and valve cover gaskets. The thing is he can't afford the labor for it so he just wants us to change the throttle body. When I hooked up the scanner it had 121 codes from stuff ranging O2 sensors, issues with the cats, temp sensors, etc. so I just went with what I thought would be a good start.
