It boggles my mind that Audi stopped caring for Motorsports and road cars for enthusiasts.
They have the tech and the knowledge but refuse to do something with it.
Soft little bitches willingly succumbing to BMW.

That ceo thought Motorsport fans don’t like EVs so we won’t do Motorsport and dismantled a dominant and profitable division of Audi. He’s gone but it will be 5 years at least before they are back. And it will be 5 years before F1 is competitive

5.2 in all GT variants.

The gen 3 will likely use a new TTV8 unrelated to the 4.0T RS6. Though it is unclear if that will become a GT3 or not at this time.

The 4.2 likely dead

Yes was green lit this year after 5 years of waffling by Audi.
>790hp tt V8
>3 electric motors and a small battery bring it to 908hp
>will use the Temerario as a starting point but with a ‘German’ seating position and experience
>likely will be launched as an e-tron name plate leading to speculation a RWD non hybrid could emerge at some point similar to the final year of the Mkii
>GT3 homologation likely but unconfirmed

that’s been fixed thanks to torque vectoring.
but if you aren’t willing to pay a few bucks to dial out understeer, you’re not an enthusiast at all

Audi Sport was an independent division that actually made money and really wasn’t related to street car sales aside from buying the chassis from Audi and moving them to Neckersulm or Spain in the case of the RS3 LMS and building them as RS / race car models depending.
It was essentially destroyed bc the CEO at the time didn’t think Motorsport were a part of an EV company’s image. Thankfully he is gone. The damage was massive bc all the talent literally left for BMW/Daimler or other places.

RS3 has a god tier engine and newer DSGs are way better than ZF8 in terms of soul. RS3 though is on the MQB VW platform and generally I don’t like it. However, the RS3 uses almost all aluminum and forged internals. It’a a very well built vehicle with premium materials vs the M2 which is a steel pig and about as cheap as they come.
At this price point you have to choose wether you want a premium material car on transverse with a BAD AWD system or a cheap as fuck car on CLAR Whcih is a RWD platform with a good drive train.

I’d recommend everyone looking, if you can afford look at a 4 series or A5 range. The quality is well worth it and in the case of the M2 you don’t even gain any weight. This is of course not respecting budgets. If you need a poor man car the RS5 M2 are fast, it’s just they have a lot of downside

The interior is cheap but that’s every German car maker, bc they are in danger of going under due to labor shortages, EV dev costs, EV sales failures, and an irrelevance in China.
I mean the actual chassis. The RS3 is 70% aluminum and the M2 is 90% steel. Aluminum is lighter but costs more than steel and its price is variable so it’s harder for companies to work with financially. It also has a dual clutch vs a ZF8, DSG/S-tronic is name but it’s a but the early bad model from the 00s. It’s a very good model that’s been revised several times and has improved cooling for track day.

A 2 series is the cheapest car in CLAR and an RS3 is the fanciest car on MQB.

You don't need to, the Quattro system is so advanced nowadays that it includes it's own computers, which uses to detect the nearest tree to understeer right into automatically, without any driver imput
As for the race car, there is only one thing that made any Audi stop, and that was making it illegal

You can, it’s not 1989. They have torque vectoring rear diffs. The RS cars will oversteer if you want. They also brake vector. It will eventually heat up the tires but you’ve got AWD. You must drive with a little late turn in and power through the corner and let the rear outer drive the rotation. Doesn’t even cause the front tires to do all the work. It’s extremely good and you have the crown center diff that moves the power from rear to front to maximize grip. It’s great, sorry lad. It’s really better than the xdrive on the current M cars which tends to overheat the front tires and then you understeer, it’s better to turn it off all together on BMW.
