Does have anyone have stuff they can tell me about the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport?
I came across it online, and I like how it stays super simple and doesn't have all sorts of extra fancy new bullshit on it
I want to know more specifics though than just some generic review videos from youtube

stay away, if you want a decently fun SUV get a CX-5 with turbo 2.5L

The turbo version is probably as fun as it gets when it comes to budget SUVs
If OP is looking at a Mitsubishi he is not in the market for a Cayenne

Not being a dick, but is that Mitsu just a rebadged Nissan? I might trust the Mitsu slightly more though.

fun and reliable if you can find a 5spd manual. not a fan of any CVTs but theirs seem to last to 200k if maintained. I wouldn't expect much more than that out of it. i got a 5spd mirage for under 4k and it is super reliable and has power windows and locks. feels like a good 90s or early 2000s car which is my preference.

also my gf has a cx5 and it's easy to work on and has a traditional automatic. she loves it. i'd definitely choose that over an outlander sport unless the outlander will save you a few grand. I almost bought a 5psd cx5 so we'd have matching but the seller was a cocksucker

Mitsubishi has been making engines for a loooong time.
Use to make the engine for Japanese zero wwll planes.

It is pieced together by nissan/renault leftovers from the parts bin, I would actually trust one of the newer rouges over anything mitsubishi. mitsu is completely junk and has never made anything good except for the evo

not true at all, the 6g72 is rock solid an the SOHC configuration. I put 250k miles on a dodge stealth (rebadged 3000gt) and absolutely LOVED that car and my gf's mom put 300k on a galant and my gf swears that was the best riding car she ever had. the 3cyl in my mirage and the 4cyl in my friend's base eclipse have also been bulletproof.

I'm a toyota guy and I'm not saying they're as reliable, but they're better than nissan/hyundai/kia which are better than the 'american' brands (that are all made in Mexico or rebadged korean)
