Plagiarism is always rampant in the auto industry. The painted "anodized aluminum" trim is all the rage, it's the plastichrome of today.

I think that automakers should invest into sleeker forms that don't need such high parts counts, but I'm just some nobody that ignores market trends.

The gap between people's perception of what other people think v. what other people actually think is bonkers.
>"woah your old car is so cool" (fourth person this week)
"lol you can buy one and they're very reliable"
>"nah it's be embarrassing to drive something so old other people would hate it"
People care soooo muuuuch about what other people think but never fucking ask... or even simply observe... what other people actually think.
So to finally respond, people WANT their cars to look like picrel, but they're too worried about what imaginary people think and too cucked to say "fuck it," thus nucars. Also jews.

I just want to buy a minivan but I can't, they're not available here anymore because all the chic mommies decided they were too cool for something with sliding doors.

I picked up an Astro for $700 because I needed a family car quick and the previous owner got pissed off because it wouldn't crank. The plan was to use it until I could afford something else but two years and 30k miles later I fucking love this thing.

Except performance oriented or trucks, the rest can do just fine with the tesla model 3/y bumper/grille
