Do you guys keep a vehicle emergency kit handy and if so, what's in it? I've got an old steel milkcrate with jumper cables, tiedowns, a small socket set, visegrips, etc.

>old steel milkcrate

Also useful for sitting down on when changing a tire and could be used to immobilize a vehicle if necessary if the spare tire was no good, lowering the car on the crate and stashing the jack.

Fix-A-Flat is garbage that will not fix the flat, nor inflate the tire and furthermore, many tire shops will refuse to swap out the flat tire when they discover it's filled with shitty useless foam.

it's a sticky liquid glue (basically elmer's + latex diluted in water) that you really only need a little of to "fix a flat"

however retards don't read the can and just dump the ENTIRE FUCKING THING in leaving approx 16 ounces of tire semen sloshing aroudn in there. it gets all over everything, it can ruin your tpms sensors and make it impossible for them to read pressure. then when the unfortunate tire shop employee takes it off the rim, ALL THE FLUID COMES OUT
ALL THE STICKY LIQUID TIRE CUM IS NOW IN A MASSIVE FUCKING PUDDLE ALL OVER THE FUCKING TIRE MACHINE IF YOU'RE LUCKY AND FORCED STRAIGHT BACK UP "THE CUSTOMER'S" ASS WITH A TURKEY BASTER IF YOU ARE NOT

IF YOU PUT FIX A FLAT IN A CAR TIRE AND TAKE IT TO A TIRE SHOP WITHOUT TELLING THEM YOU DID SO IT SHOULD BE LEGAL TO DRAW AND QUARTER YOU.

That's because the overwhelming majority of car owners does not know what to do with these kits. Yes, it's totally possible to fix punctures in highway tires with them.

All the big tools are 120v corded requiring a plug-in. Come to think of it, I need to replace them all with gas or battery powered, but nothing ever happens so I expect electricity to be around as long as I live. And I forgot 150 feet of extension cords are in the truck too. And chains. And ratchet straps. And big zip ties. And a snatch rope. And a 2x8 block of wood

So long it got something that will harden/cure, it should outlast the tire

The lithium battery ones are $250 while the AGM battery ones are $50-60 but you'll have to remember to recharge it regularly. Plus, they're pretty big (the AGM ones).

I don't think they would refuse to swap the tire. I took mine to costco and they did say you can't plug a tire that's had fix-a-flat used, turns out they lied.

I took it to discount tire and they plugged the tire free of charge. I was driving on the fix a flat for like a week before I got the tire repaired too
