I don't care what St*llantis says, I'm not going to stop calling it the Dodge Ram. Splitting Ram off to be its own brand was a retarded decision, so I will disregard it completely.
>>28474900 (OP) It gets better. The Mustang-E was to test how the public would accept Mustang as a spinoff. GM is contemplating the same thing with Corvette.

Precisely what economic concern makes isolation of good vehicles which are useful (trucks) from the horrid trash their other divisions make?
If you are not a skilled mechanic your life and opinions are invalid.
>>28475180 It's pointless and a waste of money. GM learned throughout the 90s/00s how bad of an idea it was to juggle a dozen different brands. Stellantis is learning that first hand now.
>>28475447 You say this but I've installed probably 30 of those things and never had a single one come back leaking, I think they've addressed that. The kits were updated some time last year, the big change I've noticed is to include the different oil port O ring size for the newer pentasharts with the EGR intake manifold.

>>28474900 (OP) I will continue to call it the Ram just like I will continue to call the Silverado a Silverado. You can join the adults when you're done with the tantrum.
>>28474900 (OP) It doesnโt really matter? I just call them rams or whatever gen they are.

>>28475486 Shit comparison, the Silverado didn't go from being Chevrolet (make) Silverado (model) to Silverado (make) 1500 (model) like they did Dodge Ram > Ram 1500. It's still a Chevrolet Silverado.
>>28475498 Normal people who aren't enormous spergs don't feel the need to specify make+model for extremely iconic models that literally everyone in the world is familiar with.
>>28475504 That's the thing, I just want consistency. The service literature and software (Mitchell, my scan tool, my workorder software, service manuals/filter catalogs, etc) are never consistent on whether they bundle post-split Rams with all other Dodge or have it separate. Normal people don't have to worry about this, but I do given how many of them I service.
