If this happened due to a 92 degree day being "extreme heat" that properly installed concrete can't handle, then it would be happening all over the place all the time. But it's not. This was not caused by "extreme heat", it was caused by a normal amount of heat going in to a concrete slab that wasn't installed with adequate expansion relief features, plain and simple.
