It sounds fucking fantastic when having fun, but how do I make this bitch a little more bearable on long highway cruises? Already put in a screw-in metal silencer (pictured) and I get that constant vibrating bwoooooom at 2200+ rpm.(Jimny needs around 3000-3500 for highway in 5th)

Just don't be a bitch. Part of having a cool car is that it's loud and uncomfortable.

You don't put aftermarket exhaust on cars you don't think are cool.

By association fast isn't loud.
You don't need to advertise that you are making progress.

It's resonance. There's nothing YOU can do about it but put a quieter exhaust on it. A person with fabricating tools and experience could measure the frequency of the offending resonance and weld a helmholtz resonator on it though.

Ya know exhaust cutouts exist right?
There's boost activated ones or just a switch on a dash.
Have one on my brother's 400rwhp Volvo build.
Opens at 20psi only.
Car is nearly silent with the cutout closed.
But gets the VROOM noises when open.

No way around it. The way to avoid it is to open/close the exhaust at certain RPMs (basically all modern perfwhoremans cars do this).

OP here, talked to some touge and wangan-going oldfags from Kanto and they strongly reccomended this snake oil-ass looking glass wool roll you put on the inner silencer benis
Will report if it makes it here while the thread is still alive

Yep, a 2023 Sierra. Waited 1.5 years for delivery. Tax/toll savings on the kei are great but I couldn't live with the engine and the modification limitations (you can't even put a bigger wheel/tire on the back without going over the size limit, even the original one is mounted backwards to save 20mm)

Yeah, I know how the vehicle classes work. It amuses me greatly when people discover that the Swift Sport is too wide to be classed as a compact there.
I get it though. The kei is just a little too compromised to fulfill the vehicle mission. The Sierra is really worth the extra money.
