avoid retard cars, don't get your ego hurt, and prioritize cruising in your own space with as few cars near you as possible. don't tailgate, if you're rushing you planned poorly. be aware of what semi trucks can (and can't) do

You can still avoid a ton of these situations (niggers moving into your lane, making sudden turns, ignoring your right of way etc) by staying on top of what's going on around you + looking ahead of the car infront of you + a defensive driving style that leaves room to react
The only kind of crash were you're simply screwed is getting rammed while sitting at a traffic light
Not trying to say it's always your fault that you had an accident before, just that you have a lot more influence than you think.
