I used to work nights in the Glen Park area of Gary IN across the street from a taco joint I'd go to at all hours--via car for no better reason than that I'm too gimpy to find the curbs and medians easy, never mind how usually I wore those fuzzy cheap house slippers to work. A nightclub 2 buildings south of that made a sick transition from a weekend steppin' place for older couples to one with a lot of Outlaw Motorcycle Gang activity, with the expected increase in audible gunshot incidents and police presence flashing on video monitors in the office. I ran across one of those guys at that taco joint on his eerily immaculate and baroque bike, his sad/scared looking female property in back, and commented admiringly on its look, without regard to how he'd take it. I imagine he thought of me as a random schizo, and she, more accurately, as past giving fucks for other reasons.
