I test drove an rs3. The engine and driving was fun. But it felt like a cheap piece of shit with sloppy design decisions. Also every time you start the engine the car asks you some weird fucking questions, insufferable. Is it a good daily driver? I drove one with non performance leather seats.

All new German cars have very cheap interiors. If you are buying new it is what is. It’s all plastic with fancy designs trying to hide it across the range.
RS3 is fast as anything out there and has a great engine and trans and will hold value well.
I’d just get a used RS5/6/7 though. Much better cars with the better DCT, better interior, better engine layout, better AWD and real Audi driving experience.
I’d rather get a used RS4 with a manual and use the money you save to do the timing chasing if it’s not done. You’ll still be $40k under budget and you’ll have a chariot of the gods.

NEVER go for Audi leather.
It wears out so quick I don’t even know how that’s possible.
The worst leather in the industry.
Other than that, it’s a good car. Don’t go for the red or green highlights on the interior though, it looks horrible
