as someone who did that, don't
it gets hot in the summer, cold in the winter and anyone who sees your car thinks you're a crackhead unless you can also fnagle a roll cage, then it's badass. but the day-to-day of it still sucks.

2013 Dodge Dart, tore out all interior plastics rear seats and the carpet. I was not happy with the leg position and to get the carpet out to foamectomy it you have to take all the rest of the interior apart too. ended up just leaving it because the bright red paint was nice, but you end up with lots of sharp edges so i put the front door cards and center console back in. also surprisingly big mpg improvement without like 150+ lbs of interior crap. the road noise didn't bother me so much. car sounded good too.
having no headliner was a real killer in summer and no carpet and thus no floor insulation sucked in winter. then some electrical shit happened with the HVAC control cluster that made the a/c inop so i traded the car for a miat which was somehow quieter.

wow. Could have tried some flex carpet though, not going that hard in. Still I'm intrigued by the idea with having some such luxury at the end rendering it still drivable daily and long road. Thinking about if I ever get into this, to put on a basic electronic AC system that roams all corners inside. This may compensate the weather shocks, but still don't know what to think about door insulation.

So you're tearing out every tube, seal, and gasket out of the engine then
