unironically one of the more enjoyable cars to drive.
its smol so you can move around in the lane, manual, lightweight, handles like an old CRX, can drive 9/10 without breaking the law

fun mods:
- add a toggle to manually trigger max regen for braking or assist out of corners
- modify the controller shunt to give more power
- lithium battery swap from a crz

downsides:
- lots of road noise
- probably die in a collision with a trugg
- needs better brakes
- smells bad going into ultra lean burn mode

looked at replacing it with a CRZ - but wasnt the same vibe

Any kind of old manual Honda is difficult to find. They get snatched up amazingly quick. Often less than a few hours if its posted online in a large city. Search frequently online and over a long period of time.

I found 2010s insights, decent miles n sheit. But they feel like a ghetto version of the Prius and lack sovl.

IMO the later Insights just became special snowflake Priuses, they lost the things that made them unique. The CR-Z from the 2010s is the one you want, they were still sold with a 6-speed manual even, although that car has it's own drawbacks as well (relatively heavy, MPG could be better, performance isn't that great to make up for it either).
Unlike trying to find an old Insight however you do see a fair amount of these for sale, and with manual transmissions as well.
