All car infotainment systems can already do this for nearly the past decade. Almost all of them run Android or a variant of Android. There's nothing stopping them from running ads in your car if they wanted to, yet they don't. Why? Because it's a major fucking distraction that can lead to accidents. This is why most infotainment systems are locked down and don't allow movie playback for instance.

It was a glitch that was fixed and wasn't anywhere near as bad as what you think will happen.
Car companies already make a shit ton selling your data to insurance companies.
