>not even the generation with the cool wraparound window, hidden headlights, the 455 Rocket V8 or the completely flat floor
>not the futuristic, late '80s generation with the CRT touchscreen either
If I'm forced to pick among '80s FWD luxobarges I much prefer the Eldorado from this same gen. I'd really rather a clean G-Body of any kind with those same miles and at the same price honestly, but that's basically an impossibility in [current year]

If I didnโ€™t just get a new car Iโ€™d pick that up. If it was nearby and not on the other side of the country itโ€™d be in my lot by now

The Toronado-original Rocket 425 was arguably a better engine than the 455 (IIRC aside from being less thirsty, it actually made more power than non-performance-pack 455s) and it always seemed weird that they never stuck it in a Cutlass. I'll agree though that the original Toro is by far the most boner-inducing of them and the touchscreen late models that culminated the model's tech innovations is neat enough that the mid-year 80s ones are just boring. Especially when competing against something like a shovel-nose G-body Cutlass.

You people actually like this ugly pile of shit? The only impressive thing about it is that it escaped being scraped thus far.

The toro is the most handsome of the '79-'85 E-bodies, all of which are worth much more than they should be despite their middle-child status; they're not the grand comfy cruisers of the previous gen, and they're not the semi-modern respectable dailies of the next gen
>also the GMs of the ~73 to ~91 era have superbly dogshit leather for some damned reason, it wears down to dust no matter the rest of the car

To add: I'd check it out but it's a thousand miles away. Also most of these have had the electronic shocks replaced with cheap shitty rough-riding regular air shocks

>clean G-Body
Looking for a daily classic, an early untampered G-regal with v8 (any) would be my ideal classic daily but they're so fucking rare and expensive
I'm having to look ford as they seem to be the cheapest by far for what I want (ac, power brakes/steering, front disc)

These cars are maybe the worst thing ever built in America. There is not one single redeeming value.

That has a 4100, you would be far better off with a 307.
BUT, it doesn't matter, these are truly miserable pieces of shit no matter the power. If you could build a car that is good for nothing and bad at everything, this is it.

Very nice and extremely clean, absolutely worth the price. But... leather in Florida? That AC better be topped off with R12 and running perfectly with no leaks anytime soon.
