How long do you like your truck beds?
I'm a 6-6.5' kinda guy. I like the symmetry. The wheel goes right in the middle of the bed. Very aesthetically pleasing.
>>28485608 (OP)8’ but I do understand 6ft beds as they do fit most things without much issue
>>28485762cut that in half and you have a deal. 20k?
8 foot, with a two door cab. It's a truck, not a minivan.
>>28485608 (OP)6-1/2'
Makes it 8' with tailgate down, just right for a plywood sheet
>>28485608 (OP)5' is enough for most people, including me. If I haul something longer than the bed I just tie it down with traps over the tailgate.
I get by with my 5' bed but I wish it were 6', Ford was spotted testing a crew cab + 6' bed LWB Ranger a while back and that'd be my dream truck, still significantly smaller than an F150 but long enough to sleep in or fit a bike with the tailgate up.
>>28485608 (OP)long and wide enough to stand up a honda goldwing
>>28485608 (OP)I have a double cab Tacoma with 5'. I wish it were longer sometimes, but that's about once a month. It's nice when I'm parking it which I do every time I'm driving.
If it cant fit a sheet of dry wall you have a mini van with 2 seats taken out.
>>28485943Yeah I hate fitting plywood into my Tacoma with the 5' bed. It doesn't go over the wheel wells nicely and hangs out past the tailgate by like 1.5 feet. But I buy plywood like once every 2 months probably
>>28485983How is a perpetually empty 6' bed better than a perpetually empty 5' bed?
>>28485608 (OP)80 percent of vehicle length
