I don't understand why anyone would ever buy anything from that chinesium bullshit market. I don't care if it's cheap, it's all horrific quality that will fall apart if you look at it wrong. I'd put more trust in a Harbor Freight jack than anything from Temu.

It is a hydraulic floor jack. This is a jack stand. You should never get underneath a vehicle supported solely by hydraulics, only after putting the vehicle's weight onto a jack stand for each corner you need raised.

Looks like every cheap jack on the market, the ones you get at Autozone or wherever are no different.

IMO those blue aluminum Harbor Freight 2+ ton jacks are the cheapest thing really worth buying for anything more than the bare minimum of occasional maintenance. I think you can get them for like $139 on sale sometimes. I've used the 3 ton version in an actual working shop environment and they last like 3 years there, which for the money is unbeatable (it'd take you 20 years or something to break even with a Snap On or whatever), and they'll probably last forever for an amateur garage user.

That is not a jack stand, that's a floor jack and its a shit design and only used because its a cheap design that sells for cheap.
Next time buy one from Harbor Freight when they go on sale at least they sell floor jacks and jack stand products that meets/complies with ASME-PASE standards.

Given the prior lawsuits, they got very serious with quality control for that sort of stuff. It's arguably better than their more expensive counterparts these days.

This. Many countries have extensive consumer safety programs that keep track of potentially dangerous products and can issue a legally binding order to immediately halt sales of a product if it's found to be dangerous, and force any sellers buy back any they've already sold.
A domestic store chain probably doesn't want to deal with this, so they have at least some motivation to not sell lethally dangerous trash.
