Reassembling OEM 2007 Honda CR-V strut. It was brokenj off the mount entirely. On the threaded part of the end of piston, where it connects to the mount, there were two metal pieces. Drew on the picture. One is the bolt and the other is some sort of spacer. I'm assuming the spacer goes up against the piston, then the strut mount, then the bolt on top. But when I took it off the ring of metal left from the old mount had it with both bolt and spacer thing on top of the mount, which doesn't make sense. Or does it?

Alright man youre all over the place but ill try to help you out.
Your drawing is a nut, not a bolt.
The piston is an internal component on a strut/shock.

So im guessing youre talking about the 3 bolts that go from the crown of the strut into the chassis.
That "can" be a spacer but it can also be part of the chassis and is broken off. Need to look at the chassis and see if all 3 holes are the same now or if one is different.

Yeah, I see several brain-typos in there. Proper terminology aside, the central shaft of the strut which bolts to the strut mount has the net that holds it together and this circular metal thing (drawn to scale) with it. The strut broke off the mount entirely, when I disassembled it the shaft had a ring of metal (probably from the old mount) then the metal piece, then the bolt on top. But that layering didn't seem to make sense. Had I put it between the mount of the bolt the spring would probably be under more compression at rest, if I put it below then less.

The other side doesn't have one on top, and the amount of of the bolt showing out of the mount is longer. They don't look at all alike. So I suspect the other side doesn't have this spacer thing. The spacer isn't threaded. It doesn't seem like it was part of the OEM mount, but I don't know what may have been done on the vehicle prior.
