Now that the dust has settled how does the M2 stack up vs the M4?

I believe M2 has bucket seats now and all the M4 options.

Like a lot of BMWs, its looks are heavily spec dependent. The facelift 2025s can finally be optioned with non-ghetto wheels which helps immensely

I had an f87 dct and now a manual g87
The g series is certainly not a super affordable option anymore but the car feels very special with the factory buckets. I don't think I have any significant complaints but I am a nu bmw fanboy.

A Miata unironically. Specifically a NB which are still going around for sub 10k or even 5k. Or a NC if you like that. RWD, light, easy to turbo, reliable, cheap, and low maint. Though idk what "cheap" means to you since the disposable income spread in Europe is so large.

I would avoid rotaries at all costs unless you love them. The thing will break down if you dont follow the wh40k tier machine spirit tier rituals when taking care of it. Especially if you live somewhere that has a cold climate. Even if you did by design these things experience more wear and tear.
Other than that (idk where you live) you could also try a Fiesta ST, EG/EK civic, any of the Toyota MRs or Celica's, Audi TT if you wanna deal with an Audi, MK V/VI GTI or a bmw 1 series. Idk any other other cars that are "cheap" because cars are quite expensive up here in the Netherlands. Forget about racing in more serious hp cars or better cars if ur budget is only 10-15k euros. Cheap stangs and corvettes are basically non existent over here, unless they got serious issues. If you live in eastern Europe you could probablt get a e36 or 46 bmw for cheap. But over here a non clapped out one costs too much.

opel gt roadster from 07-09 is basically a rebadged solstice gxp. The 2.0 turbo lnf can hit 300whp with a tune, better cooling and some methanol injection. The chassis flexes but there is an aftermarket trans tunnel plate that fixes that issue and makes it stable as hell.

Might check them out for a cheap track toy.
