Cars will be just like phones. Going from tons of personality, to one design. They will be safer and better for the environment, but "car culture" will no longer exist in 10-20 years.

how can people buy what they want when not everything is available? the manufacturers TRAIN you to want to buy things that are cheap to produce and break easily by not giving you an alternative.

Cannot compare to the original, yes, and their keyboard layout is retarded.
Some chinks promise to bring back Q20 with modern internals in a refurbished case for $400 though.

From what I've read and heard from former Nokia people, at some point the whole Nokia phone R&D organization was this decentralized matrix of teams churning out different components and features that were then combined into all those phones, each with a slightly different set of features.
I suppose that made some sense when they couldn't just pack all the things into one phone: Just release all possible combinations of N features instead.
At least the battery life was good, with each phone being made of a few carefully integrated pieces of custom hardware & software.

The constant team/organization churn was pretty terrible, though. And then Apple went and released a phone with all the features in one device, invalidating the entire approach.

gee wiz maybe its because certain designs are objectively superior and over time those designs are co opted by the largest companies and those designs become more and more efficient due to competition between the companies until a peak is reached and then everything just kind of stays the same and then you have autistic contrarian retards complaining about how boring everything is now and how much better old stuff was even though factually current things are far superior in every way so pretty much go fuck yourself

Those 2000s phones with hardware qwerty keyboards are better as actual phones for calls & text messages than any phone today. Sizes of those 2000s phones used to be much smaller and they fit into pocket of pants or jackets with multiple keys in same pocket. Also it was easy to use those phones efficiently with just one hand. Those phones also had 3.5mm headphone jack connection port as stock not requiring stupid wireless headphones or USB to 3.5mm adapter. Phones used to be more battery efficient that lasted anything from 2 days to 1 whole week with single battery charge depending on how frequently the phone was used.

99% of all todays phones are too large size, needing two hands to be operated efficiently, barely even fit with multiple keys in same pocket of pants or jacket. Full touchscreen technology is super retarded technology that should have never been created at all. People with special type fingers like me have issues with many of these damn touchscreens often failing to properly respond to their finger swipes, even worse if we wear normal gloves while trying to use these phones The older generation Symbian OS, Maemo, Blackberry OS were better operation systems for phones than todays super retarded Android, Apple iOs.

It pisses me off that I cannot get a non-chinese smartphone with hardware qwerty keyboard, big enough battery that will last 2 days as minimum with one charge even if the phone gets used for multiple phone calls and text messages in one day. With dimensions smaller than 5.87 x 2.85 x 0.37 inches(about 149.1 x 72.4 x 9.4 millimeters) and no bigger than 4.5 inch display as brand new anymore. Most of today's smart phone manufacturers literally should be knife stabbed to death.

This guy gets it. The only problem here
>are better as actual phones for calls & text messages than any phone today
is that lots of calls and almost all texting today happens through client software aka instant messaging and social networking apps, and those require modern hardware and relatively recent system software to run on. So you need a modern enough Android/iOS phone just to be able to run Whatsapp or Telegram or Faceberg client (all of them being bloated and inefficient of course) because most of your contacts use them, and you need a big and heavy battery to last these 2 days.

Cheap disposable cars come and go whereas the 120 year old ones stick two fingers up at average age of cars. A fun non car stat is that the Harrier aircraft (VTOL) has been about for more than half (probably three fifths) of the history of manned flight.
Statistics are for beancounters.

Nokia also saw phones as an extension of consumer electronics sector. It wasn't weird for a radio or wristwatch maker to have +20 different products on market in same category with minimal practical or functional changes.

Add the fact that Nokia poached a lot of Finnish designers with background from fashion and tableware design and annually releasing a new slate of design becomes norm.

now compare vehicles of different types - trucks, 2-doors, 4-doors, vans, offroaders, etc and see if they all look the same (they didn't then but they do now)
