How much should I pay for a tire? 215 r60 yada yada, walmart wants $100 but I'm thinking a mom and pop could do it for $50. Also I would need it installed. Thoughts?

Also unrelated question, would you drive on a spare donut for say around two hours?

The tire itself probably costs 50 or 60 dollars so 40 dollars for labor aint bad.

That’s a factor of how hold the donut is and where you’re going to drive it and how fast. Putting around the city at <40mph with a new-ish donut? No problem. Highway driving on a hot summer day with a 10+ year old donut? Good luck.

It’s 2025 as well, tires are expensive, like $150-$200 for name brand sedan tires installed. $50 might get you a used tire with 40% tread left. $100 for a chinese tire installed isn’t bad at all.

Not bad. The old man that taught me everything I know also told me to never cheap out on things that go between you and the ground. So pay good money for your bed, shoes and tires, anon.
