I'd like to import a Suzuki Carry for a small business to transport. I need 8' bed space and don't mind modifying a bit to extend the bed length. However, I thought these were all 6' bed lengths. But the 2025 shows an 8.4' bed length. Is this correct? Or am I misreading their diagram?

The older carries that are import legal have a maximum bed length of 6'8" with a regular cab. Kei trucks by law can be no longer than 11'.

I've seen a couple newer (2017's) imported, why would they not import a 2025?

So is the 8' length they show in the image the full length of the truck, not the bed for the 2025?

The current international carry is not a kei truck. They sell the previous gen as a kei truck still.

I would suggest looking into a Toyota Dyna, , Hinon Dutro, Nissan Atlas and that category of truck it you want something with drop side load space. 10 foot bed and still overall shorter by a foot than a Ford Ranger. You can get them in all shapes and forms. SRW, DRW, 1500KG payload, 2000 kg payload, drop side, dump bed double cab with 6' bed. If you want to up the game you can get double cabs with 10' drop side beds no problem but these can be a little long. Double cabs with 8 foot dump beds are about the same length as a ranger again.

Hmm, I need a truck with a bed for my small business, I better import a japan-only model so whenever it needs repair I'm down 1 month waiting for a part.

Owned my Suzuki for almost a decade and it's never broken down. Just fluid, filters and spark plugs for the most part. When I did the cambelt and water pump, everything was cheaply available on eBay.

Lol captcha ate photo. Rides better with the longer wheel base and steering feels more direct rather than that swing around feeling with the steer wheels below your ass

If you want a small Japanese Truck with a bigger bed than a Kei Truck, why don't you just buy a small Japanese Truck with a bigger bed than a Kei Truck?
You fucking retard.

I have a kei truck and a kei van in a country where grey import of them is very popular. They are a good 5% of vehicles on the road.

I for the life of me can't find parts unless someone is scrapping one. You need to check Japan directly and so many parts for mid-late 00's kei trucks are already discontinued it is ridiculous.

Just get a normal truck. You're gonna pay the same price after import and you won't have to spend months importing expensive parts for your underpowered motorcycle engine.

I agree. LWB is best as they ride much better and are true mid engine. American's can get these now as the DA52 Carry released in 1999. Pic related: >>28500318 My 2001 Carry 1.3
