Will bikes of the next few years go for forced induction and downsizing?

no. the turbo lag makes them unpredictable to balance the suspension when turning. only time you really see turbo bikes do anything is drag racing, hill climbs, and pikes peak cause the air is so thin the turbos spool instantly.

having an unpredictable bike is just not good business to sell the the average consumer.

Manufacturers will never boost bikes. They would be too powerful and slowfags would bitch about the heckin' turbo lag kek. So fucking stupid they want "usable torque" and then they buy some 6 speed cuckbike with tight as fuck gears and all the torque off idle with 0 top end.

People forget H2 is a thing, lag isn't a problem with supercharger. But I still hope most bikes stay NA, staying light matters.

The big four all did turbo bikes. Unpredictable power while cornering pretty much killed the idea.

Those are all non-issues with superchargers, and there are some very interesting possibilities with supercharged direct injection 2-strokes, which can keep most of the power density without the reliability or emissions issues of normal ones. That said, bikes are already so efficient that there's really not the same kind of push for smaller, more efficient engines the way we've had with cars over the last few decades, and on the flipside space and weight are at much bigger premiums on bikes so it's a lot harder to implement.

That's neat out of the box thinking, put the turbo behind the vee where a monoshock would fit and exhaust it under the seat.

>Forced induction and downsizing
I guess my question is why? The top 3 selling bikes of 2024 were reportedly the Kawa z650 (not the 500 or 900), Rebel 1100, and the 1250gs. The 650 is already only 410lbs, and the 1100 and 1250gs are 80 and 120hp each respectively. We are kind of getting to diminishing returns here, especially given how many riders can actually take advantage of the power to weight ratio of these new bikes.

Fuck man, 650 twins are doing 0-60 in under 3.5s these days. How many guys are out there trying to outrun their local PDs Chargers and coming up short?

anti-lag technology is pretty good these days and makes lag negligible. whether the weight and complexity is a good trade off is another question

You need rider weight forward to have good handling. You need a tall ride height and rear end to be able to lean the thing over. The H2 is meant to be the apex predator of streetbikes, you want something like a Vmax.

Downsizing already came fairly common, less amount of newest motorcycles have 1200+cc engines than 15 years ago.

>>28500205
Its morons like you who defend the idea of turbocharging every modern engines that should killed from this planet.
